We Create Individualized Plans
Person-centered thinking involves focusing on an individual’s unique needs, preferences, and goals. To promote it in daily life, actively listen to others, show empathy, and seek to understand their perspective. Tailor your interactions and decisions based on their input, fostering mutual respect and collaboration. This approach enhances relationships and contributes to a more inclusive and compassionate community. MARCH also provides Supported Living Programs for adults who rent their own homes or apartments, with areas designed individually for each person's needs.
MARCH, Inc. of Manchester offers residential programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in five towns in the north region of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Over 50 people currently receive support through these programs. The agency owns and leases more than 10 licensed Community Living Arrangements, providing assistance in independent living skills and social skill development. The number of people living in each house is limited to ensure quality support services in a person's home community.
